The wonderful movie set was about to be destroyed! Fortunately, there were those willing to keep it.
Transport of scenery from the Feature Film Studio in Wroclaw at Wystawowa Street 1, right next to the famous Pergola, to Książ Castle. It was a day full of excitement, challenges and satisfaction!
Feature Film Studio in Wroclaw is a place with a great tradition, where some of Poland's greatest film productions are made, including most recently the film "Chopin," directed by Michal Kwiecinski.
The set design is an apartment of Frederic Chopin. It was created with attention to the smallest details. The cost of its construction reached as much as One and a half million zlotys.
When transporting such precious scenery and props, you have to be careful! No one could take on the task of transporting such extensive and expensive scenery.
Loading into vans took several hours. It was tough - some items were very heavy and bulky, and everything had to arrive intact.
The new home of stage design: the Książ Castle
It is here that the scenery will find its new place - it will be installed in one of the palace's rooms, which will be given an English style. As a result, every visitor will be able to feel the atmosphere of Chopin's 19th-century Parisian drawing room.
Another day...
Transportation throughout the day
In no way do we see it that way. It was hard and it really took all day, but we saved a piece of history and culture. We felt the satisfaction of saving such a unique share. Although in a small way we contributed to saving the heritage of Polish cinematography.
