It turned out that Ms. Katherine \"gifted\" us an early morning start and a finish after dark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We started in the morning in Wroc\u0142aw's Krzyki district. Lifting a 300-kilogram instrument is always great fun, especially when you have to maneuver it so as not to scratch the floor and lose fingers. Then a \"quick\" repetition with the rest of the gabarities and a trip towards Z\u00f3rawina to M\u0119d\u0142\u00f3w.<strong> The distance is seemingly small, but logistics and tonnage have done their part.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We transported a Czech Petrof piano<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Czech <strong>Petrof<\/strong> (High model). Weight: approx. <strong>280-300 kg<\/strong>. A classic of the genre - the better it sounds, the harder it is to get it out of the corners on the staircase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Czech pianos from the Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9 factory are known for their extremely solid construction. What gives them that distinctive, deep and \"romantic\" sound is also their greatest curse during transportation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cast iron frame:<\/strong> At the center is a massive, solid cast iron frame that has to withstand string tension of up to a dozen tons. It is it that accounts for about 70% of the weight of the entire instrument.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solid wood:<\/strong> Petrof does not play with lightweight replacements. The cases of older models are a thick layer of solid wood and veneer. With a height of about 125-135 cm (concert\/cabinet models), a weight of about 300 kg is standard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What else was transported during the move?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Less interesting stuff but still being heavy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Gabarities:<\/strong> A large Side-by-Side refrigerator (of the kind that doesn't fit in the door without removing the fronts), washing machine and dishwasher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Furniture:<\/strong> A heavy oak dining table, 6 chairs, a fold-out corner sofa with sleeping function and three closets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Petty:<\/strong> Exactly <strong>45 packed cartons<\/strong> (books, glassware, daily life) and some bicycles, which will have more room to ride in Sage than in Krzyki.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"999\" src=\"https:\/\/panfortepian.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_20210615_121725-edited.webp\" alt=\"Wroc\u0142aw Krzyki removal\" class=\"wp-image-5144\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panfortepian.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_20210615_121725-edited.webp 1000w, https:\/\/panfortepian.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_20210615_121725-edited-300x300.webp 300w, https:\/\/panfortepian.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_20210615_121725-edited-150x150.webp 150w, https:\/\/panfortepian.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_20210615_121725-edited-768x767.webp 768w, https:\/\/panfortepian.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_20210615_121725-edited-12x12.webp 12w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The course of transportation and removal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once we reached M\u0119d\u0142\u00f3w, the real fun began: unloading in the fresh, suburban air and carrying everything to its final destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most time was spent at <strong>bolting of furniture<\/strong>. Mrs. Catherine wanted to have everything ready \"right now,\" so we didn't leave until the cabinets were upright and the corner sofa had regained its shape.
