The planned move did not seem like a hard job. Although we were to have quite a few possessions of the elderly ladies to transport.
Our clients lived in Biskupin, on Karol Olszewski Street, for more than 30 years. It's where their children grew up, it's where they spent their best years. But it was time for a change - a new, more functional house in Psi Pole, on Milicka Street. Closer to nature, further from the hustle and bustle of the center, but still in Wroclaw.
What we carried
You could say that the house is full of memories and beautiful old furniture.
- A massive oak bookcase from the 1960s
- Grandmother's porcelain collection
- Folding table, where the whole family gathered during the holidays
- Upholstered armchairs, kitchen furniture set
- Garden tools that the master of the house was happy to move to a new, larger garage
Calisia piano from the 1970s
Our customers also had to transport a Calisia piano from the 1970s, beautifully preserved, weighing about 230 kg. For comparison - it's like moving a small Fiat 126p.
The narrow staircase proved to be a problem. It took a great deal of care and patience to move the instrument.
Our clients' granddaughter is now learning to play on this piano. Apparently, she has a great talent and is constantly developing it.
A happy ending
After seven hours of intensive work, everything was in its place in the new house. The customers were happy and so were we. The instrument passed the move unscathed. The next day, the customers called and also asked for a piano tuning.
